More Art

I seem to be posting art in this more than anything else. Once I actually have more stuff about the college program I will post that but until then I might as well post something. One of these days it will be something other then Rapunzel but at the moment I am obsessed. :)

A Clip A Day Keeps The Boredom Blues Away

I highly doubt anyone is actually reading this but I'm keeping it up anyway. Its fun and it passes the time. Plus, I view it as a writing exercise and considering the fact that one of my dream jobs is to be an author any writing experience I can get will definitely be a big help. Anyway my friend Sierra, who is doing the program with me, paid her acceptance fees yesterday so she is "officially" going. I'm so excited. Now we're both counting down to August 17th!
To pass the time I've been drawing a lot, keeping busy with school, and watching a lot of Disney clips/movies online. Its been fun. I remembered my love of Dumbo when I watched it again after not having watched it in years. When I was little the ride was my favorite and so was the film. I'm not entirely sure why I'm so attached to Dumbo. Maybe its the fact that he is just so darn cute. :)
Whatever the reason I love the little guy.
One Disney movie I didn't really love though (please don't hate me, its just my personal opinion) was Wall*E. Two hours of watching a little robot talk in a weird little voice just wasn't my version of entertainment. Despite this though, I do find the character likable I just won't be watching the movie anytime soon.
I did find this online a while ago and I thought it was adorable:

Waiting, freaking out, and other stuff

I cannot believe its still only March. I'll probably be saying the same thing in April. I can already tell this month is going to go by torturously slow. I desperately want my purple folder but I'm pretty sure that I won't get it for a while.
As I wait, I'm freaking out which is never a good thing. I'm freaking out about whether or not I'm going to like my job/roommates. I'm freaking out about really living on my own for my first time. Because while I do have my own place at the moment my parents are still only thirty minutes away and one of my aunts is even less. Plus I have a really great landlord thats right next door. This time there will be several whole states between my parents and me. I'll have to work on saving money which I won't have very much of and I'll have to drive in gulp California traffic which I only did a few times when I lived there because I didn't manage to get my license until I moved to Montana where traffic is like five cars ahead of you.
I'm also freaking out because I'm planning on staying in California after the College Program is over and I have no clue how I'm going to do that. So in general, there is a lot of freaking out all around. Are you freaking out about anything while you wait?
And here is something else I'll leave you with:

Who wants to go to Wyoming?

Ugh just about describes my morning. I had a job interview bright and early at Cold Stone which I had to sing (badly, and I wasn't the only one thank goodness) and recite Shakespeare. Don't ask its way too complicated to explain. I'm pretty sure I didn't get the job though. While it would have been nice to have some cash flow, I've decided that I'm okay with not getting it because a) I didn't want to work there anyway and b) I'm leaving in a few months to go to California, so who cares?
And if you are wondering about the title of this blog entry (my one follower, yayness to my one follower) you can find out exactly why its called that here:

Bad Squishy

My first week of waiting after being accepted is over. It seemed to be unusually long. I just hope the rest of the weeks aren't like that. Thank goodness I have school to keep me busy for a few months otherwise I would go completely crazy. I don't know what I'm going to do when summer comes though. Hopefully I'll have a job and that will be my distraction. If I got my purple folder that might make things a bit easier on me. Though it probably will be at least another month before I get it because mail is so slow where I am at.
And here is another fun video I found of  the Alice in Wonderland characters at Disneyland just having fun:

So the count down begins

I cannot believe its only been six days since I found out that I got accepted and two days since I found out my best friend did. It seems like its been a whole lot longer. I wish that it had been. Its going to be hard to wait. Though I have been keeping myself entertained by watching every Disney video I can get my hands on including of the characters at the parks. Here is a cute one with Alice, The Mad Hatter, and Ariel: Alice, The Madhatter, and Ariel

My art

So I've been drawing Disney art a lot lately. As it turns out, its a good way to pass the time while I'm waiting anxiously for August 17th to come. Please excuse the poor quality of some of these. The pictures of them were taken with my cell phone. Also I make no claims to be a great artist. These were done just for fun and I know there is room for improvement on a lot of them. Here are a few of the things that I've done:

What does custodial DO exactly?

So ever since I found out that I will be working Custodial I've been trying to learn more about it. I know so far that involves a) cleaning and b) walking around a lot. The more I've looked into it though the more people kept on saying that it involved guest interaction. All I could think was, 'How does cleaning involve guest interaction?' Then I found a video on youtube the other day that goes a little more into detail about what Custodial does. Now obviously, they have to make it look extremely cool for the video which was filmed for Walt Disney World. The Custodial position in Disneyland might be a little different. However if Custodial is anything like the video I found it might actually be fun, plus I totally get why I was assigned to it now. I volunteered as a tour guide in high school and worked as one during this last summer and Custodial apparently also greets guests, so I guess its a little bit like being a tour guide. The video makes it look fun at any rate and I really hope it is. I know it will involve things like cleaning bathrooms and stuff but I'm hoping to find a way to make it as enjoyable as possible.
So here is a video on Custodial:
